The wine-growing estate Wine-growing estate Cantina Vinicola Fratelli Zeni is located in the magnificent morainic hills of Bardolino by Lake Garda. Right from the heart of this cultivation area of the Bardolino wine come the carefully handpicked grapes, which Cantina Vinicola Fratelli Zeni uses to produce its high-quality wines full of character. The grapes are grown on the wine estate’s own lands or come from leased vineyards and other wine-growers of this region. For years Cantina Vinicola Fratelli Zeni has been cooperating with these wine-growers and has always selected their best bunches of grapes.
The wine museum In 1991 a wine museum was opened within the grounds of this wine-growing estate. It originated from an idea of its owner Gaetano Zeni. The wine museum bears witness to the culture of wine to which the Zeni family has been closely linked for many generations. The museum takes visitors on a journey through the world of wine and its history. The museum is divided into different areas, each one dedicated to the wine-making process: the cultivation of the vineyard and the grape harvest, the pressing process and the process of maturation, the bottling of the wine and its marketing.
The products During production special care is taken of the cultivation of the vineyard as well as of the drying and pressing process of the grapes. The same attention is put to the aging and maturation process of the wines. An especially constructed underground barrique cellar bears witness to the importance of this process. Cantina Vinicola Fratelli Zeni produces wines awarded with the DOC-certificate Bardolino, Valpolicella, Amarone, Soave, Bianco di Custoza, Recioto and Lugana and those with IGT-certificate such as Garganega, Passito, Costalago, Cruino, Corvar and Merlar.
Wine tasting and wine incentives To make the visitors’ approach to the world of wine even more impressive Cantina Vinicola Fratelli Zeni worked out an educational tour which combines the fascination of the history and the culture of the ancient art of wine making with the pleasure of tasting high-quality wines. Even more involving and exciting are the team games for groups and companies with blind tasting, which are suggested during the course of incentive wine tastings.
